If there is one word that can sum up the wild ride we had in 2020, it’s dynamic. At Pathmatics, we saw the serious impact the global pandemic had on our industry, partners, clients, employees, and loved ones. Early in the year, there were uncertain times for our clients, and we worked closely with many of them to ensure that there was no disruption in service when they needed our data the most to navigate in these uncertain times.
We then witnessed the unprecedented action by the advertising industry in boycotting Facebook. When this happened our team was flooded with press requests and interest from leading brands, publishers and agencies as they wanted to understand what this meant for their business and strategy. We even got a nice little shout out from Sash Baron Cohen (AKA Ali G and Borat).
We were able to quickly mobilize and partner with many new clients to support their needs. We saw record usage on our platform, and user counts grow in 2020 by over 5,000 representing nearly 100% growth year over year.
As we look back on the year we wanted to say thank you to all the amazing users and clients on our platform that have helped us execute our mission of turning the world’s marketing data into actionable insights. In our clients’ name we made a donation of 90,700 trees to Trees.org for the future. We came to this number by looking at the active user count across our clients and looking at how long each of them have been using the platform. This new tree donation is in addition to the existing tree donations we have made for our panelists’ participation, bringing our total tree donations to 144,493 trees. After this year, we can all agree we need more trees.
We wish everyone a happy New Year and look forward to what 2021 will bring.
If you are interested in more information on Trees.org we would encourage you to visit their site and make a donation.
