If you haven't incorporated mobile into your strategy for the year, it's time to think again. Mobile advertising is expected to account for just about half of all digital ad spend this year (49%) and grow to 60% in 2016 (MediaPost).
February's top mobile advertisers across iPhone & Android (mobile web) didn't see many shake-ups from January as tax season continues. Take a look below at the digital advertising analytics of the top 5 and see a list of the top 10 direct mobile advertisers.

February's Top Mobile Advertisers
TurboTax kept the top mobile spot releasing 33 unique creatives throughout the month reminding you to do your taxes. Dropping from an average of 52 sites per day** in January to 16 per day in February, the financial software took a more direct approach by zeroing in on high demand sites like yahoo.com, msn.com and aol.com.
While Verizon was #2 across desktop & video, AT&T directed their energy towards mobile releasing a whopping 344 unique creatives during the month on an average of 259 sites per day* Rollover data and the newly introduced AT&T Next Plans dominated creatives with a few hearts here and there. Taking a long tail approach, 65% of the telecomm brand's impressions were purchased through ad networks. Sports sites such as espn.go.com and nfl.com were targeted directly.
Up from #9 last month, Skype released 18 unique creatives on an average of 8 sites per day. Tugging on the heart-strings, creatives featured emotional declarations such as "Never missing story time together" with the image of a young child video-chatting with their father. 98% of Skype's impressions were purchased through an exchange with the entire msn.com suite of sub-sites (ie news.msn.com) coming in as the top stites.
Shire, a biopharmaceuticals company, broke into the mobile top 10 with 10 unique creatives detected on an average of 2 sites per day. With direct buys accounting for 89% of Shire's total impressions, yahoo.com, nbcnews.com and sports.yahoo.com were the top direct sites.
Promoting a credit card matching feature plus a new Spark Cash card, Capital One released 33 unique creatives during February on an average of 12 sites per day. Buying almost all of their ad impressions directly (99%), yahoo.com, espn.com and forbes.com were the top sites.
