You will be an integral part of the sales team and be responsible for prospecting and closing new business sales through assigned accounts. Working primarily with top agencies and brands you will drive the success of Pathmatics’ value proposition and industry-leading advertising intelligence technology to market. You will own the entire sales cycle, responsible for qualifying, prospecting, pitching, scoping and closing new customers using a solution-based sales approach. Pathmatics is looking for an SVP of Finance to lead the Finance and Accounting functions at our fast growing, venture funded SaaS company.  We are a data-driven company that provides a marketing intelligence platform to leading brands, agencies, and publishers, located in the heart of Santa Monica.  We pride ourselves on our Pathmatics Code and believe that our team is what makes us great.  We are looking for a finance leader to manage everything from budget and strategic planning, to board reporting, to weekly KPIs, to fundraising.  This role will report to the CEO.


  • Oversee strategic planning, the budget process and all financial planning and analysis
  • Drive high level funding strategy (utilizing both equity and debt financing) and manage fundraising process, including building fundraising materials
  • Manage accounting team and ensure an accurate and timely close as well as all tax matters
  • Create all monthly and quarterly investor / advisor and board materials
  • Identify and execute cost saving initiatives throughout the company
  • Manage the cap table & 409A process
  • Drive management KPIs and tie them to business strategy and outcomes
  • Plan for employee hiring and growth
  • Manage the relationship with company’s PEO (Trinet) and oversee benefit selection and 401K administration
  • Assist in key partner negotiations and contract reviews
  • Manage insurance coverage
  • Drive space planning and negotiation
  • Manage employee and sales compensation plans including bonus and commissions

Overall our SVP of finance will have a seat at the leadership table and will be an essential finance voice throughout all decision-making at the company (quarterly/yearly planning, new product prioritization, etc.)

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous financial management experience (at least VP level)
  • Experience fundraising and dealing with financial sponsors (VC or PE/Growth Equity)
  • Financial modeling expertise
  • Knowledge of and fluency in key SaaS metrics and KPIs
  • Expert level Excel skills
  • Data-driven and able to advocate for the right thing even when unpopular
  • M&A experience (both buy and sell side) a plus
